Enterprise client is looking for Experienced Software Engineer.

We are looking for a software engineer to join our team to help with our Operational Lineage effort. This effort's goal improve how we use data with our data platforms and improve the cooperation between data processing and information centers.  We will be determining what data is being used and what it is being used for. We will also work to determine if high cost data is still needed.

Some experience with applications that consume events from Kafka is required.

 

Must Haves
- Experience with Java
- Kafka (from an application perspective)
- Spring Boot
- Software design knowledge, need someone who can produce their own well designed system
- Gitlab

Preferred
- Experience with Trino

Deliverables
- Investigate data sources for Trino usage
- Create skeleton GitLab project for Trino watcher
- Process a Trino event into an OLE
- Deploy Trino watcher to QA
- Deploy Trino watcher to production
