We're seeking a passionate and creative Student Experience & Communications Officer to join our Operations team in this newly created role.

Supporting more than 8,000 students across our campuses nationally, you'll play a key role in delivering engaging, student-centred communications that help students feel informed, connected and supported throughout their journey—from enrolment and orientation through to graduation

Job Description

What you'll do

  • Develop and coordinate communications across the student lifecycle.
  • Create engaging content for email, SMS, newsletters, digital platforms and student resources.
  • Support and deliver campaigns promoting orientation, wellbeing initiatives, student events and support services.
  • Maintain student-facing content, FAQs and communication resources.
  • Support the promotion of Student Representative Council (SRC) initiatives and student engagement activities.
  • Use feedback and data insights to improve communication effectiveness and student engagement.

Qualifications

What you'll bring

Essential

  • Degree or Diploma in Communications, Marketing, Public Relations, Journalism, Business, or a related discipline.
  • Experience writing professional communications for diverse audiences.
  • Experience coordinating bulk email, SMS, or digital communications.
  • Experience developing promotional content, campaigns, and communication materials.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to translate complex information into clear, student-friendly messaging.
  • Strong organisational, stakeholder management and project coordination skills.
  • A collaborative, proactive and student-focused approach.
  • Current Employee Working with Children Check (Victoria), or the ability to obtain one prior to commencement.

Desirable

  • Experience within higher education, vocational education or the international education sector.
  • Experience using CRM, student management or communication platforms.
  • Experience with Canva, Adobe Creative Suite or similar design tools.
