Job Description
Pharmacy Technician Tutor
Location: Auckland CBD
Full-time | Permanent | NZMA Auckland Central
About the role:
As a Pharmacy Technician Tutor, you will be part of our team delivering the Pharmacy Technician programme. In this role, you will pass on the knowledge you have gained through your extensive pharmacy experience with an emphasis on community pharmacy and an understanding of the skill set required of a Pharmacy Technician.
Your knowledge base will also include anatomy and physiology, OTC, a range of dispensing techniques including calculations, compliance packaging and compounding, pharmacy legislation, and professionalism.
Qualifications
About you:
We are looking for someone with a passion for Pharmacy Education and educating future pharmacy technicians in this industry.
You will need to be a New Zealand Registered Pharmacist, or be an experienced Pharmacy Technician holding a NZ Certificate in Pharmacy Technician L5 or NZ Diploma in Pharmacy Technician (Specialist) L6.
You don’t need any experience in teaching as we will provide you with comprehensive training to attain adult teaching qualifications and support you with teaching tools and resources to become successful in your tutor role.
In addition, you will have:
- Industry background with proven professional experience in New Zealand
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Able to practice patience & try out new things
- Connect and build relationships with all your students from all walks of life
- Passionate and enthusiastic about sharing knowledge and fostering success
- Teaching experience advantageous but not a requirement
- Most importantly, maintain a positive & enthusiastic attitude
