Job Description

Our Certificate IV in Information Technology was recently launched and has proven popular, with student numbers continuing to grow. We’re committed to delivering an outstanding learner experience, so we’re looking for a qualified Information Technology Subject Matter Expert to help us review and validate assessment materials, ensure compliance, and implement improvements now, so our students get the very best from their studies.

This is a per-piece contract role. Each module validation is paid at $400, with each review expected to take between 4–8 hours. There may also be future opportunities for contract assessment work as the programme expands (optional).

What you’ll do:

  • Review and validate assessment materials for selected Certificate IV in IT modules.
  • Ensure all assessments meet ASQA and compliance requirements.
  • Check that assessment tasks align accurately with related learning content.
  • Evaluate student usability, ensuring tasks are clear, practical, and accessible.
  • Provide clear, actionable recommendations for improvements.
  • Collaborate with our Product and Learning Design teams to update and refine materials.

What you’ll bring:

  • TAE40122 Certificate IV in Training and Assessment (or equivalent) – required.
  • Relevant IT qualifications (minimum Certificate IV in IT, higher level preferred).
  • Current industry knowledge and experience in IT.
  • Experience teaching and/or assessing in the vocational education sector.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently.

Qualifications

TAE40122 Certificate IV in Training and Assessment (or equivalent)
Relevant IT qualifications (minimum Certificate IV in IT, higher level preferred).
