Job Description
We currently have a permanent vacancy within our Law School for a Senior Lecturer in Law, specialising in Criminal Litigation.

Bristol Law School offers state of the art facilities, including two mock courtrooms, modern Harvard lecture theatres and teaching spaces, a Legal Resource Room, and a dedicated Business Advice Clinic, where our law students undertake a range of Pro Bono work, supervised by Solicitors.
About you: Working in the School of Law, comprising of academic (LLB/LLM) and professional (GDL/BTC/LPC) programmes this post focuses on teaching and supporting students on professional law programs in Criminal Litigation and Sentencing, Evidence, Criminal Advocacy and related subjects.
We would particularly welcome applicants with substantial current or previous experience of practice as a barrister or solicitor within the Criminal Law context. It is expected that the successful applicant will undertake a module leadership role within the department and perform a visible leadership role in relation to the teaching team. It is also expected that the successful applicant will undertake a management portfolio role alongside teaching. This is a permanent, part time post working on a 0.5FTE basis to allow for flexibility to continue with practice commitments if necessary.
