Job Description

Are you passionate about empowering youth and building meaningful community connections? The Robinson Community Learning Center (RCLC) is looking for a dynamic and visionary Program Manager to lead our RCLC-NDWest site in the heart of South Bend’s Near Westside neighborhood! Since 2012, RCLC-NDWest has been a vibrant hub where local youth thrive and University of Notre Dame students put community engagement into action. In this high-impact leadership role, you will shape the overall vision for our youth educational programs, bringing energy and inspiration to our after-school tutoring, arts enrichment, specialized clubs, and action-packed six-week summer camp.

As the Program Manager, you will be the driving force behind transformative hands-on learning, collaborating with passionate university stakeholders, Notre Dame student organizations, and local community partners to craft extraordinary experiences for young learners. You’ll work hand-in-hand with parents, neighborhood schools, and our RCLC Tutoring Director to align academic support with state standards, boost student recruitment, and maintain high standards across all initiatives. Beyond program creation, you will serve as a mentor and team leader, supervising dedicated AmeriCorps members, student staff, and a energetic crew of 60 Notre Dame student volunteer tutors. If you are an innovative educator and collaborative leader ready to ignite potential, foster neighborhood relationships, and make a lasting difference in the lives of local youth, we want you on our team!

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Education, Youth Development, Non-Profit Management, or a related field.
  • Minumum of 2 years of teaching, youth program leadership implementing, or managing educational programs for K-12.
  • Proven ability to mentor, direct, and coordinate multi-tiered teams, including staff, AmeriCorps members, and a large cohort of college student volunteers.
  • Strong background in curriculum planning, aligning tutoring initiatives with K–12 state academic standards, and conducting data-driven program evaluations.
  • Success in cultivating trust-based partnerships with neighborhood families, K–12 school administrators, community organizations, and university stakeholders.
  • Skills in setting strategic program vision, enforcing safety protocols and enrollment procedures, managing daily operations, and leading bilingual outreach when applicable.
  • Bilingual Spanish is a plus.
