Job Description

I. General Summary

Under general supervision assists with scheduling to meet customer needs. Assists with interviewing, selecting, and hiring qualified individuals for supplemental staffing.

II. Principal Responsibilities and Tasks

The following statements are intended to describe the general nature and level of work being performed by people assigned to this classification. They are not to be construed as an exhaustive list of all job duties performed by personnel so classified.

  • Assists with coordinating the daily scheduling of supplemental staffing by ensuring adequate staff for all shifts through the development, preparation, and maintenance of staffing schedules that meet the needs of the hospital and apply to variable census conditions.
  • Participates in maintaining and updating a list of personnel current with name, address, telephone number, professional classification, job title, work status, normally assigned work area, and other pertinent information. Maintains current list of supplemental staff.

  • Completion of High School or GED required. Some college preferred.
  • Two (2) years related experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Demonstrated proficiency in fundamental concepts, principles, practices, and procedures of employment law and generally accepted employment practices.
  • Strong interpersonal and listening skills are required to work effectively with various levels of employees and management staff.
  • Highly effective verbal and written communication skills are necessary.

IV. Working Conditions

  • Weekend, shift work, holiday, on-call, and overtime may be required.
  • Work is primarily performed in a standard office environment.
