Job Description

Responsibilities:

  • Assist in interventional radiology procedures, including patient preparation, monitoring, and post-procedure care
  • Administer medications and contrast media as directed by the radiologist
  • Operate and maintain specialized radiology equipment
  • Ensure compliance with safety protocols and radiation protection measures
  • Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to provide high-quality patient care
  • Educate patients and families about procedures and post-procedure care
  • Maintain accurate and detailed patient records
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives and ongoing professional development

Qualifications

  • Licensure as a Registered Nurse in the state of Maryland, or eligible to practice due to Compact state agreements outlined through the MD Board of Nursing, is required.; BSN preferred. Up-to-date status on all mandatory training and classes.
  • One year nursing experience. Solid knowledge and clinical skills.
  • Current CPR certification required.
  • Maintenance of 10 contact hours of education every two years.
