Company Description
Located at 227 Gateway drive Suite J, Bel air Maryland in the heart of Harford County, our practice provides improved access to Pulmonary Care and Sleep Medicine services. We offer a variety of services from Sleep and Pulmonary consultants to Sleep and Pulmonary Function testing.
Job Description
1. Answer and screen telephone calls, review voicemails and handle routine inquiries and refer non-routine matters to appropriate persons.
2. Schedule patient appointments and testing.
3. Organize and prepare the necessary information, reports, records, charts and correspondence
before the patient arrives for appointment.
4. Obtain necessary registration information on patients, necessary referral forms and
authorizations to forward to billing.
5. Open and determine appropriate distribution of mail. May handle routine matters on own
initiative upon instruction.
6. Perform a variety of routine and non-routine clerical duties, including the operation of office
equipment.
7. Faxing, mailing or scanning appropriate information (i.e. test results, consult notes,
preoperative results, correspondence, etc.) to referring physicians.
8. Schedule appointments for providers as needed and maintain his/her appointment
calendar.
9. Maintaining inventory of office supplies (i.e. paper, pens, envelopes, etc.)
10. Complies with established departmental policies for attendance, punctuality, procedures,
and safety. Complies with organizational policies and procedures.
Qualifications
Education
High school graduate; medical terminology; computer skills; ICD and CPT coding
Experience
- 1-2 years medical office experience, background in general office work.
- Goof organizational and excellent customer service skills required
