Job Description
Job Summary
- The Respiratory Assistant is responsible for checking and maintaining oxygen and respiratory care equipment in the respiratory care department and throughout the hospital as required.
Qualifications
Education
- High School Diploma or GED (Required)
- Combination of relevant education and experience may be considered in lieu of degree. Vocational / Technical Degree (Preferred)
Certification / Licensure / Registration
- Not Applicable – No Certification and Licensure Requirements required or preferred
Experience and Skills
- Required Skills: Dictation and/or Transcription Skills, Strong Verbal Communications Skills, Strong Written Communications Skills, Excellent Interpersonal Skills, General Clerical Skills, Excellent Organizational Skills, Strong Customer Services Skills
Physical Requirements and Physical Demands
- Adequate hearing to perform job duties in person and over the telephone.
- Hears alarms/telephone/tape recorder/normal speaking voice.
- Must be able to accurately document pertinent information either by writing or typing. Must be able to communicate clearly in person and over the telephone.
- Must be able to perform repetitive tasks/motion.
- Must have good manual dexterity.
