UM Shore Medical Group at Easton, a member of the University of Maryland Medical System (UMMS), is seeking Certified Nurse Midwife to provide per diem coverage and join a well-established Womens Health and midwifery group.

Job Description

Our clinicians are part of an industry-leading health care delivery model, having access to advanced technological tools and receiving comprehensive practice support. LDRP model delivering 35 weeks gestation and above.

What You Can Expect:

• Join a well-established group of 4 Physicians and 5 full time midwives 

• Full-Scope Midwifery practice including antepartum, intrapartum, postpartum, and gynecological care for low risk patients.

• Labor tubs in all laboring rooms

• Opportunity to work collaboratively with our outstanding supportive physicians, including 24 hr in house OB backup and anesthesia

Qualifications

  • Master of Science degree with completion of an accredited Certified Nurse Midwifery Program required.
  • Current state licensure as a Certified Nurse Midwife or eligible required, certified in area of specialty.
  • Minimum of two (2) years acute care experience required.
  • Meets requirements to maintain clinical privileges as a member of the MTC Medical Staff. 

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

  • Ability to demonstrate knowledge and skills necessary to provide care appropriate to the patient population(s) served.  Ability to demonstrate knowledge of the principles of growth and development over the life span and possesses the ability to assess data reflective of the patient's requirements relative to his or her population-specific and age specific needs. 
  • Highly effective verbal and written communication skills are required to interact with patient families, departmental units, medical and nursing staff on all essential matters.  Demonstrated/documented effective interpersonal skills.
  • Maintains updated hospital safety and other mandatory training.
  • Updated immunizations as recommended per practice area.
