Under general supervision, perform patient care functions related to preparation of supplies and equipment in an operating room, assisting in surgical procedures, and promotion or education and training related to the surgical scrub role. Fulfillment of job duties requires the employee to have access to medication storage areas and to transport medications to/from medication storage and delivery areas.

• Required:
  • Equivalent to a High School diploma or GED.
  • BLS
• Preferred:
  • Current Maryland certification in good standing as a OR Tech.
  • AA/Certification from an accredited national certification program as a Surgical Technologist
• Experience (years):
  • Required: 0-6 months
  • Preferred: 1 - 3 years
