We are seeking a full-time Senior Registered Nurse to join our extraordinary team at UMMC Midtown Campus!

Senior Clinical Nurses function as charge nurse and/or preceptor, and are nurse leaders. The SCN demonstrates the ability to lead groups of nurses and/or interdisciplinary groups, set nursing practice standards, evaluate nursing practice, plan for implementation of changes to practice, an ensure changes are made that positively impact nursing practice. They participate and collaborate with other disciplines to positively impact improvements in patient outcomes. They take an active role in improving and changing nursing service in a positive manner and facilitates the spirit of teamwork.  The SCN will maintain active membership on a nursing council/committee.

Qualifications

  • Licensure as a Registered Nurse in the state of Maryland, or eligible to practice due to Compact state agreements outlined through the MD Board of Nursing, is required.
  • BSN degree required.
  • Current CPR certification required.
  • Relevant clinical work experience related to practice on the unit, including Charge Nurse and/or Preceptor experience.
