Hours: Variable as required
Wage Range: $29.28 - $30.10 per hour (Start rate in accordance with collective agreement)
Shifts: Days; Mon-Fri; 0830-1630
Status: Casual

Position Summary
UHN Corporate Billing & Accounts Receivable (CBAR) is a high-volume, fast-paced department responsible for revenue through billing and collection. The Client Services Representative II is an integral member of the team, responsible for providing timely, accurate, and professional customer service and support to patients, clinical departments, and external partners.
Duties
- Generates revenue by investigating insurance coverage, patient accommodation and allocation options.
- Maintains on-going awareness of Hospital-wide bed inventory and perform other relevant activities to facilitate optimum revenue generation.
- Ensures the provision of optimum customer service through the timely collection, verification and correction of patient demographic data.
- Ensures the provision of optimum customer service through the efficient delivery of reception service duties.
- Provides functional supervision to lower classified clerical position(s).
- Performs unit specific activities to ensure the efficient operation of the unit.
- Modifies and maintains electronic and paper information filing/retrieval systems and/or formats.
- Works in compliance of the Occupational Health & Safety Act and its regulations, reporting hazards, deficiencies and contravention’s of the Act, in a timely manner.
- Performs cross-functional duties as assigned and/or required.
- Performs other duties consistent with the job classification, as assigned and/or required, including, reconciling databases; following up with changes, as appropriate; assisting with staff orientation, etc.
Qualifications
- At minimum completion of high school or recognized equivalent required.
- Must be bondable.
- 2 years to less than 4 years practical and related experience and/or 6 months to less than 9 months on the job training required.
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office or equivalent required.
- Customer service experience required.
- Previous experience in a patient admitting and registration environment is highly preferred.
- Prior experience reviewing patient accounts in the Epic system is also strongly preferred.
- Detail-oriented, adaptable, and possesses strong communication and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to thrive in a collaborative environment, with a commitment to continuous improvement and service excellence.
