Position Summary

A collaborative research team is seeking an enthusiastic and motivated student to support AI-enabled antibody development and drug discovery. The successful candidate will play a primarily computational role, contributing to the development and application of artificial intelligence methods for antibody design, optimization, data analysis, and therapeutic candidate discovery. This position will involve close collaboration with two Principal Investigators, Dr. Hattori and Dr. Ma, as well as experimental team members.

Duties

  • Support AI-enabled antibody development and drug discovery projects through computational analysis, PyTorch programming, and data-driven research approaches.
  • Maintain accurate and organized documentation of code, datasets, analyses, workflows, and research findings.
  • Collaborate effectively with computational and experimental team members.
  • Apply foundational technical and computational skills to perform well-defined AI, data analysis, and research-related tasks.
  • Interact primarily with immediate supervisors and other laboratory team members.
  • Work under close supervision and follow specific, detailed instructions.

Qualifications

  • Must be enrolled at an academic institution and pursuing a degree or diploma (e.g. undergraduate, graduate, or medical degrees, or high school or college diplomas)
  • 3 months of related experience.
  • Demonstrated programming skills in Python and PyTorch.
  • Foundational technical and computational skills relevant to AI, data analysis, and research activities.
  • Ability to communicate effectively in writing and verbally.
  • Ability to work effectively under close supervision and follow detailed instructions.
  • Demonstrated self-motivation and willingness to learn.
