Position Summary
The Krembil Brain Institute (KBI) is seeking an organized, enthusiastic Research Analyst I to oversee the initiatives and development of KBI Education in their role as KBI Education Coordinator. The Coordinator will manage day-to-day operations of the Krembil Education Team, working closely with co-leads and communicating frequently with residency program directors and Krembil clinicians and scientists. The Coordinator will also contribute to advancing the reach and activities of KBI Education, contributing innovative ideas, and working to carry them out effectively to transform and advance Neuroscience education. This role is in-person at Toronto Western Hospital.
Duties
- Identify and invite speakers for weekly Neuroscience rounds
- Build, design, and update websites and video archives
- Keep track of and analyze rounds, website, and event attendance and engagement data
- Coordinate with speakers, co-leads, and collaborators for scheduling events
- Create and circulate advertisements for KBI Rounds in the form of website posts, e-mails, and promotional posters
- Create and manage UHN mailing lists
- Keep track of KBI Education Initiative progress
- Organize and host webinars, town halls, and other events
- Create comprehensive funding and progress reports
- Assist with KBI Neuroscience Education research projects
- Work on projects that advance inter-professional development at Krembil Brain Institute
Qualifications
- At minimum, completion of a Bachelors degree in Neuroscience, Physiology, Life Sciences or recognized equivalent, required.
- At minimum, 1 year experience practical and related experience, required
- Experience with Electronic Medical Record systems, patient scheduling systems/software, required
- Experience in the field of healthcare, required
- Excellent written and oral communication skills and organizational skills
- Prior work experience in an academic/research environment, preferred
- Prior administrative work is an asset
- Expertise in website creation and design is an asset
- Prior experience in education initiatives and Neuroscience research settings is an asset
