Hours: 37.5 hours per week
Wage Range: $33 to.$34 34.07 per hour. Start rate non-negotiable.

Position Summary
The Administrative Support is responsible for providing administrative support to the manager and/or department/unit team.
Duties
- Provide administrative support to the manager and/or team, including processing of all incoming and outgoing communication including mail, correspondence, minutes, forms, etc.
- Type confidential reports
- Provide support to projects as delegated.
- Arrange and coordinate meetings and trainings; take and type minutes.
- Set-up and maintain departmental files.
- Monitor the need for office supplies and track departmental equipment & supply purchases.
- Track & process financial requisitions/orders and payroll information as required. Initiate payroll adjustments as required.
- Perform other administrative duties as assigned, if not in contradiction with job purpose.
- Prepare presentations for conferences as assigned.
- Be aware of conditions and measures that may affect the safety of patients, residents, students, employees, volunteers, physicians and visitors including:
- Compliance with the safety standards of the hospital and applicable legislation
- Identification and prevention of safety issues and problems
- Taking corrective action, where possible
- Attendance at safety meetings/training/updates in accordance with the Centre’s standards
- Ability to work in a manner that exemplifies the Centre’s core values and helps patients get their life back
- Evidence of good performance history and attendance record
Qualifications
- Required (Minimum):
- High school diploma
- Administrative Support certificate/diploma or a minimum 2 years office experience
- Desired/Preferred: Experience in a health care setting
- General knowledge of office practices, process and procedures
- Must be able to read and understand sort notes, brief forms and/or instructions
- Ability to perform duties in a professional and courteous manner and produce high quality work while meeting deadlines in accordance to UHN standards
- Exercise initiative and good judgement with ability to multi-task
- Compliance with confidentiality requirements under UHN Privacy Policy
- Effective organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills
- Knowledge of applicable legislative, UHN and/or departmental policies
- Client service oriented, with the ability to effectively work with diversity and appreciate that people with different opinions, backgrounds and characteristics bring richness to the challenge or situation at hand.
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment
- Ability to handle difficult patients/situations
Related Experience
- Required (Minimum):
- Advanced Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook
- Intermediate MS PowerPoint
- Exceptional customer service skills with external stakeholders
- Minimum typing speed 60 w.p.m.
- Good mathematical abilities
- Good interpersonal, organizational and communication skills (both written and verbal)
- Ability to work independently without supervision
- Ability to prioritize workload within a multi-task environment with multiple demands
- Evidence of satisfactory attendance and punctuality
Desired/ Preferred
- Knowledge of ANSOS, EPR, and Total Solutions
