Salary Range: $37.85 - $56.77 per hour (Commensurate with experience and consistent with UHN Compensation Policy)
Hours: 37.5 hours a week
Status: Permanent Full Time

Position Summary:
The Supervisor supports the operational oversight of the Staffing Offices at Toronto Rehab and West Park. Reporting to the Manager, this role assists in coordinating daily staffing operations, ensuring the consistent and equitable application of scheduling processes and collective agreement provisions, and maintaining accurate staffing coverage across both sites.

Duties:
The Supervisor supports service excellence by reinforcing established processes, assisting with payroll integrity, and facilitating effective communication across clinical programs. This role also supports the appropriate use of ANSOS and contributes to operational projects and process improvements under the direction of the Manager.

  • Directing the work of others, establishing workload priorities based on such factors as the need for immediate action, work objectives, work schedules, attendance, etc
  • Meeting with SRT to discuss clinic issues, solve problems and achieve results.
  • Assisting the Manager in monitoring vacation, absenteeism, performance management, overtime and leaves of absence.
  • Providing training to new SRT staff, (eg. policies, procedures), as required.
  • Overseeing and assigning workflow of both SRT sites.
  • Ensure scheduling guidelines and multiple Collective Agreements are accurately applied and consistently followed by SRT
  • Assist Manager with addressing any escalation of grievances
  • Ensure all SRT Representatives and Analysts are compliant with UHN guidelines and policies
  • Support the effective day to day use of the scheduling system and escalate system or process concerns to the Manager as appropriate.
  • Assist Manager with Payroll of SRT Representatives and Analysts
  • Assist Manager with Scheduling & Time Keeping of SRT Representatives and Analysts
  • Contribute to operational projects, workflow enhancements, and implementation initiatives as assigned. 
  • Assist with data gathering, reporting and process evaluation related to staffing operations
  • Works in compliance of the Occupational Health & Safety Act and its regulations, reporting hazards, deficiencies and contravention’s of the Act, in a timely manner.

Qualifications

  • At minimum completion of a bachelors degree in Health Administration/Business or recognized equivalent required.
  • At minimum over 2 years up to and including 3 years practical and related experience and/or 1.5 years on-the-job training required.
