Salary: $35.35 - $53.03 per hour
Hours: 37.5 hours per week
Status: Temporary Full-time (14 months)

Position Summary

The Collaborative Academic Practice portfolio at UHN lead the synthesis of Health Profession Practice, Education, Research and Leadership in service of enhancing Patient Experience, Patient Safety and Health Outcomes.

As an important member of the CAP portfolio, this role reports to the Director, Practice Based Education and Senior Manager, Strategy and Transformation. The role will provide support across the CAP portfolio, including the Practice Based Education, the Strategy & Transformation team and Allied Health/Health Disciplines.

Duties

  • Coordinate the implementation of various projects that range in size and scope
  • Manage the scheduling of staff for projects and other activities
  • Coordinate and support activities related to Ministry of Health – Health Human Resource Programs such as Clinical Extern Program and Supervised Practice Experience Partnership.
  • Support financial and other operational accountabilities of CAP
  • Collect, extract, manage data and maintains CAP operational and strategic databases, including health professions credentialing
  • Maintain and update intranet site
  • Perform administrative responsibilities ensuring that established standards are maintained
  • Perform cross-functional and/or other duties consistent with the job classification, as assigned or requested.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree, preferably  in Business, Health Sciences, or a related 
  • 3 years of relevant experience
  • Minimum 2 years of project management experience
  • Experience in managing time and tasks within an extremely busy professional office environment
  • Experience working within health care, preferable in a hospital environment 
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, ability to work well with a wide range of people throughout the organization
  • Ability to work in a fast paced environment, remain calm under pressure and confident in their capability to perform well in the job
  • Excellent decision-making capabilities, judgment and independence to coordinate complex tasks
  • Superb organizational and time management skills and the ability to multitask effectively
  • Consistently demonstrates exemplary customer service skills, excellent organizational, and planning;
  • Strong computer skills (Microsoft Word, Outlook, PowerPoint, Excel)
  • Ability to manipulate excel data
  • Demonstrated ability to work proactively and independently
  • Proven adaptability to varying roles and responsibilities as needs and priorities of the position evolve
  • Demonstrated ability to build successful working relationships with all levels of staff
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality
  • Ability to provide leadership and advisory services to assigned staff; provide staff with technical and procedural guidance, direction, and on-going coaching
  • Ability to produce detail-oriented, accurate work – ability to establish, maintain, and adhere to priorities – statistical data, tracking of metrics as required
