The Manager, Corporate and Community Partnerships is a strategic relationship leader responsible for driving revenue growth through stewardship, account management, and thoughtful expansion of existing corporate and community relationships within the Road Hockey portfolio.
Approximately 75% of the role focuses on stewarding, growing, and deepening relationships with engaged captains, sponsors, and executive committee members, while approximately 25% involves new outreach and prospect development.
This role requires a working knowledge of event production, event marketing, peer-to-peer fundraising and road hockey to ensure corporate partners and teams are set up for success.
This high‑visibility role reports to the Director, Corporate and Community Partnerships, and is ideal for someone eager to build strategic partnerships, drive revenue growth, and play a key role in shaping the future of large‑scale fundraising events.
Account Management & Stewardship
- Serve as the lead relationship manager for assigned corporate teams, sponsors, captains, and executive committee members.
- Develop customized stewardship and growth plans for top accounts.
- Identify expansion opportunities with internal and external stakeholders.
- Work closely with captains and influential leaders to identify warm introductions and new team prospects.
- Ensure strong renewal strategies and multi-year partnership growth.
- Provide strategic guidance to teams to maximize participation and fundraising.
- Develop executive-level engagement strategies within partner organizations.
Revenue Growth & New Business Development
- Develop and execute targeted prospecting strategies to recruit new teams.
- Conduct outreach aligned with event growth priorities.
- Secure sponsorship investment and corporate support.
- Maintain a strong pipeline of prospects and manage through to conversion.
- Meet and exceed participation and revenue targets.
- Leverage networks and partner referrals to unlock new opportunities.
Peer-to-Peer Strategy, Event Marketing & Execution
- Develop expert knowledge of the Road Hockey program and peer-to-peer fundraising best practices.
- Provide strategic fundraising coaching to captains and teams.
- Collaborate with marketing teams on campaigns and engagement initiatives.
- Work alongside event production teams and agencies to understand logistics and sponsor integration.
Financial & Operational Acumen
- Understand event budgeting and revenue targets.
- Utilize CRM (Blackbaud) and fundraising platforms (Raisin) to track prospect calls and meetings (Call Reports).
- Lead initiatives from concept through execution.
- Use data and performance insights to inform business development strategies
Qualifications
- Minimum 5 years of progressive experience in business development, sponsorship, fundraising, or account management.
- Proven track record of growing revenue through new business and account expansion.
- Demonstrated success managing complex stakeholder relationships.
- Post-secondary degree in Business, Marketing, Sports Management, or related field (or equivalent experience).
Skills & Competencies
- Strong stewardship mindset, combined with the confidence to make the “ask” and secure donor/partner commitments.

- High emotional intelligence and executive presence.
- Strong understanding of event marketing and experiential integration.
- Business acumen and comfort discussing budgets and financial targets.
- Excellent verbal, written, and presentation skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office; experience with CRM and fundraising platforms preferred.
- Strong organizational and prospect pipeline management skills.
