Shifts: Weekdays, 9:00AM - 5:00PM
Status: Full-Time Temporary (1 year with optional for renewal)

Position Summary
Working under the direct supervision of Dr. Vijay Chauhan, Clinician Scientist in the Division of Cardiology, Electrophysiology Section, the candidate will be an integral member of an established patient-oriented translational research program in atrial fibrillation. We are seeking a highly motivated candidate to develop novel approaches to characterize atrial fibrillation, the most common heart rhythm disorder worldwide, in order to improve disease phenotyping and strategies for patient-tailored therapy.
Duties
- Custom signal processing of body surface ECG and intracardiac electrograms to characterize atrial fibrillation organization and atrial structural remodelling
- Custom cardiac image processing (CT, MRI, echo) to characterize atrial structural remodelling
- Perform high resolution ECG recordings
- Develop large database of resting, ambulatory and stress ECG recordings for custom analysis
Qualifications
- Mandatory: PhD in physiology, computational biology, signal/image processing, or a related field.
- Mandatory: Experience in signal and/or image processing
- Mandatory: Proficient with advance statistical analysis, including regression modelling
- Mandatory: Programming skills in Matlab/python or equivalent programming language
- Asset: Familiar with machine learning concepts and modelling to allow collaboration with data scientists
- Asset: Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Asset: Leadership skills for multidisciplinary collaboration
