Hiring Range: $50,000 - $60,000

The Coordinator will report to the Senior Director, Community Events and will interact with many internal and external partners to deliver on several key accountabilities, including supporting fundraising initiatives for the Community Events team at PMCF:

Manage Community and Third Party Events 
• Actively manage a portfolio of community events supporting fundraising efforts of community volunteers 
• Maintain budgets on all events (revenue and expenses) 
• Develop critical path, timelines and checklists for events 
• Attend events as requested to support registration, volunteers, auction, raffle 
• Organize cheque presentations and present thank you speeches at events 
• Build websites as needed; maintain websites and provide reports to organizers regularly 
• Create collateral materials for events, such as posters and brochures 
• Follow the processes for setting up, tracking and closing events 
• Partner with teams across the foundation to advance the fundraising impact of our 3rd party event organizers

Manage Partnerships 
• Create, steward and grow relationships with 3rd party event organizers 
• Build and maintain partnerships and relationships with 3rd party event organizers 
• Work collaboratively with cross-functional teams, as well as a multitude of stakeholders, including; participants, team captains, patients, families, sponsors, corporate teams, volunteers, clinics, doctors and hospital staff

Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience in an events or healthcare fundraising function in a fast-paced environment is required
• University degree or college diploma or equivalent working experience
• Willingness to work flexible hours. Some evening and weekend work will be required. 

Operating & Technical Skills 
• Strong knowledge in event logistics, understanding the role that philanthropy plays in advancing these activities 
• Exceptionally strong communication skills, both written and verbal 
• Expert PC skills (MS Office: Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook) 
• Experience working with online fundraising tools, database and social media platforms is essential 
• Experience with CRM and AKA Raisin an asset 
 
Interpersonal Skills 
• Exceptional customer service skills, with the ability to develop and leverage professional working relationships with our 3rd party event organizers 
• Ability to work independently and efficiently in a busy environment managing multiple 3rd party events 
• Ability to play a key role in building a cohesive part of the team 
• Ability to maintain a positive attitude and composed demeanor especially during stressful periods and events
