Position Summary:
The Coordinator, IT Redevelopment will coordinate and support project activities related to Information, Communications and Automation Technology (ICAT) for IT capital projects at University Health Network (West Park Campus).

Duties:

  • Supporting the Director coordinate ICAT activities, including system design, procurement, installation, commissioning and training, with external and internal stakeholders.
  • Support ICAT project activities, including tracking deliverables, maintaining change control processes, participating in submittal reviews, requests for information, contractual variations, and budget analysis across the lifecycle of projects from system design through to procurement, installation, commissioning, and training.
  • Oversee ICAT hardware installation process, conduct needs analysis, and attend recurring meetings as required with vendor(s) and other stakeholders.
  • Coordinate and conduct testing of installed systems in the new hospital as per intended functionality.
  • Develop and maintain project logs to track issues, action items, risks, queries, decisions and follow up as required.
  • Assist in developing, monitoring and maintaining project activity scope, scheduling, budget & costing, technical and service specifications to ensure the accuracy of the documentation on an ongoing basis.
  • Capture and report on project metrics including deliverables, schedule, cost and risks on a regular basis.
  • Develop and distribute various project status reports and dashboards.

Qualifications

  • Post-secondary education in information systems management, business administration, computer science, health informatics, engineering, or related discipline. Equivalent combinations of education and experience will be considered.
  • CAPM, PMP, or other project management designation preferred.
  • Professional IT certifications (e.g. ITIL, CCNA, MCSA, RHCE, SSCP) preferred.
  • 3 to 5 years’ experience working on complex Information Technology projects
  • 3 to 5 years’ business and technical requirements analysis, including business process modeling
  • Good working knowledge of current information technology fundamentals such as computer networks and business systems
  • Ability to work with people from different disciplines and varying degrees of technical experience
  • Ability to express complex technical concepts effectively through written, verbal, and graphical communications mediums
  • Excellent time management and organizational skills
  • Excellent problem recognition and resolution skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Excellent analytical skills
  • Proven ability to meet scheduling deadlines
