Status: Temporary Full-time, with possibility of renewal

Position Summary
The Clinical Research Coordinator I collaborates with Investigators and the health care team to assume responsibility for the overall patient management and coordination of several clinical studies for the Department of Anesthesia at the Toronto Western Hospital. Studies include pharma-sponsored, cooperative group sponsored as well as Investigator initiated trials.
Duties
- Recruitment of study participants (e.g. identify and screen potential subjects, obtain informed consent)
- Coordination of patient visit schedules as per study protocol; execution of all aspects of study visit (e.g. assessment adverse events, monitoring safety, medication, questionnaires, monitoring and administration of treatments as per study protocol.
- Provide clinical care for patients participating in clinical trials and the implementation and coordination of all aspects of data collection and source documentation, as per UHN policy and ICH/GCP guidelines.
- Facilitate the submission of ethics applications, study amendments and renewal documents to the Research Ethics Board and other regulatory agencies as required.
- Coordinate multi-centre studies and ensure uniformity of data collection, and study related procedures.
- Manage clinical and research databases.
Qualifications
- At minimum, completion of a Bachelor's degree in a health or science-related discipline, Master's preferred
- Minimum 3 years of professional clinical research and patient-facing experience in coordinating both industry and investigator-initiated studies, required
- Experience coordinating Health Canada Regulated Trials and multi-centre trials
- Experience with statistical software and management of large datasets
