Position Summary:
The Project Manager will work within multidisciplinary international research project which seeks to accelerate the early stages of drug discovery. We work closely with academic institutions, pharmaceutical companies, and technology leaders to develop innovative tools and platforms that make biomedical research faster, more collaborative, and more impactful.

AIRCHECK (aircheck.ai) is a cutting-edge platform designed to harness the power of artificial intelligence to accelerate early-stage drug discovery. It integrates advanced AI/ML methods in structural biology and cheminformatics, enabling researchers to more efficiently identify and validate new therapeutic targets. We are moving into an exciting scaling phase, and we need a dedicated Project Manager to drive its growth, expand its capabilities, and strengthen collaborations across our international network.
You won’t just be managing timelines, you will be helping redefine how medicines are discovered. You will connect with top AI/ML researchers and industry leaders spearheading hit discovery.
Job Responsibilities:
- Be the architect of AIRCHECK’s scaling strategy with a special focus on data management.
- Grow and guide a cross-functional team of software developers, scientists, and data engineers.
- Build and manage collaborations across the Structural Genomics Consortium and external partners, including academia and industry.
- Ensure project milestones, deliverables, and timelines are met while maintaining high scientific and technical standards.
- Translate complex scientific and technical requirements into actionable development plans.
- Help secure fuel for growth: contribute to grants, partnerships, and funding opportunities.
- Foster a culture of innovation, collaboration, and open science within the team.
Qualifications
- Advanced degree holder (MSc, PhD, or equivalent) in computational biology, bioinformatics, cheminformatics, computer science, or a related field.
- Subject matter expert in AI/ML applications for drug discovery (Bonus points if you are familiar with structural biology and chemical data).
- Proven track record of peer-reviewed publications in relevant scientific domains.
- Demonstrated experience managing complex research software projects, preferably in a multi-partner or open science environment.
- Proven leadership in building and managing diverse, multidisciplinary teams.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to bridge technical and scientific domains.
- Strong organizational and problem-solving skills, with experience managing budgets and timelines.
Preferred:
- Experience in pharmaceutical or biotech R&D environments.
- PMP (Project Management Professional) certification or equivalent formal project management credential.
- Knowledge of cloud-based data platforms and modern software development workflows.
- Track record of publications, patents, or successful platform deployments.
