Salary range: $50,000 - $60,000 (with additional benefits such as bonuses, pension, etc.)

As the Marketing Coordinator of Events, you will focus on supporting the marketing execution of some of Canada’s largest peer-to-peer fundraising events, including: The Princess Margaret Ride to Conquer Cancer, The Princess Margaret Cancer Foundation Walk, The Princess Margaret Cancer Foundation Road Hockey fundraiser, among others. You will play a critical role in enabling The Princess Margaret Cancer Foundation to achieve awareness, participation and fundraising goals of our events.

  • Support the development and execution of marketing plans across a portfolio of events
  • Report to the Marketing Manager, Events, in the execution of all paid, earned and owned media, while providing additional support for the Marketing Director as required.
  • Play a key role in supporting the flawless project management across various campaigns and channels, including:
    • Support the email communications for Events, including working closely with agency partners and Business Intelligence on list segmentation, creative development, testing/QA, deployment and analytics
    • Cataloguing and trafficking of paid media creative assets
    • Maintain an updated integrated communications calendar and be prepared to speak to timing of communications
    • Support the Events Management teams by coordinating creative assets, content and facilitating internal execution and approvals as required
  • Prepare and present marketing briefs to the agency partners as needed to support various communications initiatives.
  • Support social media by posting creative on various platforms and perform community management responsibilities.
  • Lead the processing and budget control of all event invoices and budgets.
  • Attend and provide marketing support at our Events, which requires some weekends and evenings, and occasional local travel.

Qualifications

  • A post-secondary education in Marketing, Advertising, or a related field is preferred, along with experience in a marketing role demonstrating strong project management skills.
  • Experience with development and detailed oversight of work back schedules, management of status reports, budget tracking, etc.
  • Experience in email and web communications development, production and reporting
  • Experience in social media communications, development, execution, and reporting
  • Demonstrated proficiency in Excel and Powerpoint.
  • Experience using Google Analytics, MailChimp, Sprout Social (or similar products), and CRM tools a strong asset
