Hours: 37.5 hr/week
Status: Temporary Full Time (approximately 12 months)

Position Summary
Reporting to the Clinical Director, and working in partnership with the Program Medical and Quality Directors and key stakeholders, the Quality Program Manager (QM) will promote a culture of quality and standards of excellence for the BMT-IEC recipient, BMT donor, CMH patient, and their families.
The Quality Program Manager is responsible for oversight related to CMH Program quality improvement and patient safety, in addition to compliance with the following:
- Health Canada – safety of human cells, tissues and organs for transplantation regulations
- Food and Drug Administration (FDA)
- The Foundation for the Accreditation of Cellular Therapy (FACT)
- Centre for International Blood and Marrow Transplant Research (CIBMTR)
We are seeking a self-directed individual with exceptional leadership qualities to support excellence in clinical oncology practice, while contributing to a strong organization-wide inter-professional practice environment. The role focuses on quality oversight, including but not limited to, standard operating procedures, deviation and audit management, of cell therapy and malignant hematology processes and organizational requirements.
Duties
- Projects to identify and improve quality and patient safety issues
- Critical incident reviews or non-compliance issues
- Education and support to the inter-professional team regarding quality and patient safety
- Conduct or monitor quality and patient safety audits to provide data in line with reporting requirements
Qualifications
- Completion of a Master’s Degree in Nursing or Science; or recognized equivalent required
- Six (6) years practical and related experience in health care or regulatory industry
- Evidence of leadership in clinical practice experience working in cell therapy or malignant hematology preferred
- Expertise in the delivery of formal and informal education/coaching
- Expertise in planning/implementing and evaluating practice changes
- Demonstrated knowledge of relevant legislation, practice standards, and best practice guidelines
- Demonstrated excellence in interpersonal and inter-professional collaborative practice, communication and organizational skills
- Proven abilities in complex analysis, critical thinking and problem solving
- Proven evidence of ongoing professional development
