Salary: $36.38 to $45.48 per hour 
Shifts: Monday to Friday
Status: Temporary Part Time (1 year)

We are seeking a skilled research coordinator and communicator to support our team within the Collaborative Academic Practice (CAP) portfolio and RBC Chair in Cardiovascular Nursing Research. This role requires an individual with a strong research coordinator skillset, seeking to apply their knowledge in traditional and creative roles. For 0.4 FTE, the successful candidate will work with the Director of Scholarship and Innovation to support embedded health services research projects, support the develop of strategic initiatives, and enact strong writing skills to profile the scholarship/innovation across the CAP portfolio. For 0.2 FTE, the successful candidate will work with the Clinician Scientist on research related to the RBC Chair in Cardiovascular Nursing Research (i.e. protocol development, study set-up and oversight, data analysis, manuscript preparation, etc.).

Duties

  • Support project planning for strategic and research initiatives (e.g., scheduling meetings, taking meeting minutes, developing Ghantt charts, developing summary documents)
  • Assist in participant recruitment, data collection and data analysis (qualitative and quantitative), as per UHN policy and TCPS2 guidelines
  • Conduct literature searches/reviews for new proposals, as directed
  • Prepare materials for knowledge dissemination and in accordance with mandatory reporting
  • Coordinate administrative aspects of grant development and research ethics board applications (e.g., references, CVs, protocols, consent forms)
  • Collaborate with professional practice teams to support the development of embedded research projects (e.g., protocol development, QI/REB submissions)
  • Contribute to writing, reviewing and editing academic articles for submission to peer-reviewed journals, research papers, book chapters, research grants.
  • Support the development of internal communication strategies (e.g., newsletters, Sharepoint)

Qualifications

  • Bachelors in a health-related discipline required
  • Masters in a related field preferred
  • Minimum 1 year clinical research experience, health services and/or nursing research preferred
  • Excellent organizational abilities
  • Strong academic writing and communication skills
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple projects
