Salary: $36.38 - $45.48 per hour (To commensurate with experience and consistent with UHN compensation policy)

Altum Health is currently recruiting for an energetic, well organized and experienced REGISTERED KINESIOLOGIST to join our Mississauga team. As an Altum Kinesiologist, we are looking for an individual with demonstrated competencies in the clinical assessment and treatment of concussion, chronic pain, musculoskeletal injuries, and mental health, within an adult population an asset. Preference will be given to candidates who have experience in the injured worker population, functional testing and return to work planning. Additional experience in the disability management field would be preferred.
As an Altum Clinician you will empower and support clients through their recovery with the application of your hands-on knowledge, skills and abilities in the treatment of orthopedic disorders, chronic pain and with the rehabilitation and return to work of injured workers. You will treat clients and enable them to reach their fully functional and work reintegration potential in collaboration with all stakeholders (client, treatment team, etc.) You will also perform cross-functional duties and cross-site duties, as assigned or requested.
Qualifications
What we look for in a Kinesiologist:
- University Degree in respective profession as required by the College of Kinesiologists of Ontario
- Certificate of Registration with respective College and proof of malpractice insurance
- Experience with Exercise Progression.
- Experience with Neurology.
- Two (2) years related experience in the assessment and treatment of clients/patients with MSK injuries, including chronic pain; work related injuries, MVA and/or experience in the third-party health care system is an asset
- Knowledge of active rehab protocols
- FAE and return to work planning skills preferred; Disability Management skills also preferred
- Excellent interpersonal, time management and organizational skills
- Demonstrates appropriate and effective written, oral, and nonverbal communication skills
- Must be able to perform the physical demands of the job

- A Clinician who can adhere to confidentiality requirements, can demonstrate initiative, and with excellent judgement and prioritizing skills
- A Clinician who understands the detail required for insurance reporting and who is not deterred by mandatory processes; experience in case management and communication with third-party/referral services desirable
- A passionate and dedicated team player who can work independently and as part of a multi-disciplinary team and who is committed to the challenge of working with clients suffering from acute and chronic workplace injuries
- Excellent interpersonal, time management and organizational skills
