Job Description
As a Corporate Trainer at Unitek Learning, you will serve an important role in identifying and addressing training needs in collaboration with key stakeholders and academic/departmental leadership. This role demands a dynamic professional with expertise in instructional design, virtual training facilitation, and a strong focus on creating customer service training programs. This role will be fundamental in developing professionals that are dedicated to serving our partners and students within our Workforce Development team. This team is dedicated to solving workforce shortages for their partners by creating career mobility opportunities for their employees.
Reporting to the Vice President of Academic Strategy and Faculty Success, you will lead the development and implementation of engaging and effective training sessions, materials, and courses for adult learners, encompassing orientation, professional development workshops, and leadership development sessions for employees at various levels within Unitek Learning.
Training Needs Analysis:
- Collaborate with key stakeholders to conduct needs assessments and analyze training requirements.
- Identify, prioritize, and address training needs across different departments.
Training Delivery:
- Facilitate interactive and engaging training sessions for adult learners/departmental professionals, and leaders as needed, including orientation, professional development workshops, departmental training, and leadership development sessions.
- Act as a brand ambassador for Unitek Learning during training sessions.
Customer Service Training:
- Design and develop customer service training programs to enhance the service-oriented culture within Unitek Learning and the Workforce Development Team.
- Ensure alignment of customer service training with organizational and departmental goals and values.
Methodologies and Tools:
- Utilize a variety of training methodologies, techniques, and learning tools to ensure the maximum effectiveness of training programs.
- Conduct regular assessments and report on customer service experiences to inform future training opportunities.
- Create training courses and materials using e-learning development software.
- Provide feedback on the design and creation of training materials
Process Management:
- Define, create, and execute training and development processes and professional development cadence for a variety stakeholders based on needs analysis and departmental needs.
- Collaborate with leadership to identify key metrics for learning effectiveness and continually improve training.
Continuous Improvement:
- Participate in continuous improvement projects to support the development of training initiatives.
- Support other team building opportunities, including tours, speaking engagements, and representation at outside events.
- Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree or certification in Education, Curriculum and Instruction or Instructional Design, or a related field. Master’s degree preferred.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience facilitating learning solutions in a corporate or higher education setting.
- Passion for training adults, a strong work ethic, and a focus on customer service.
- Experience in monitoring and evaluating engagement and training program effectiveness.
- Experience in designing e-learning, synchronous and in-person training programs.
- Track record of incorporating key behaviors into day-to-day efforts, including a team approach, effective listening, credibility development, building trust, and demonstrating reliability.
- Superb communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Ability to engage and interact effectively with employees at all levels.
- Experience with e-learning authoring tools and presentation applications.
