Job Description

We are looking for a Partnership Development Specialist to join our team.

The Partnership Development Specialist acquires clinical contracts and educational partnership opportunities for students for all Nursing Programs. Responsible for building robust relationships, for sustainable program outcomes, with Acute Care Hospitals, Surgical Centers, Skilled Nursing Facilities and Specialty Pediatric and OB healthcare facilities and clinics within the San Jose area. This position is based in the San Jose, CA area and will cover partnership development for Unitek College San Jose Campus and Unitek Learning growth opportunities working with hospitals and healthcare leaders and academic teams.

  • Actively seek clinical education placement opportunities for Nursing students
  • Acquire fully executed school/clinical facilities affiliation agreements
  • Cold-calling and follow-up calling with the clinical site point of contact
  • Presenting Unitek College program information to CNO's, DOE's, Administrators and Directors of Nursing Education
  • Meeting with the Hospital and Healthcare educational teams and Directors
  • Facilitating the appointment for our Program Directors to meet the sites Directors
  • Gleaning information for sites on-boarding and orientation process for scheduling
  • Follow up regularly with clients and attend partner educational events and meetings
  • Meet with Program Directors at Unitek to project clinical needs for the program
  • Set up and maintain contracts for clinical rotations
  • Drive Business Development activities to strengthen Unitek Colleges’ professional presence in the industry including participating in yearly Advisory Board Meetings with specific Industry Partners
  • Track all activity within the department CRM clinical site target system
  • Report monthly to management and track all clinical rotations on a clear spreadsheet for reporting purposes to Nursing Boards.
  • Requires an energetic and positive person with the ability to manage key clients focused within the Health Care Environment
  • Meet with National Director regularly to review clinical placements; current, pending and in process contracts
  • Other duties as assigned

Pay Range: $60-$62k DOE

Qualifications

  • Two years of Clinical Coordinator, Higher Education Clinical Site Relations, Recruiting, Career Service, Business Development or Sales within the Healthcare experience preferred
  • Knowledge and competency within Nursing and Healthcare environment preferred
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong ability to develop new business to place students in an externship/clinical setting
  • Comfortable with Microsoft Office, especially use of databases and spreadsheets
  • Ability to travel/drive within the geographical area to visit current and potential clinical sites
  • Ability to travel/drive to annual educational conferences or nursing symposiums as needed
