Job Description

Interprets documents from other educational institutions to determine equivalence of degree and courses toward Unitek Learning requirements for applicants and current students
Determine accreditation status of every institution with regard to acceptance of credit, determine course content, level (lower division, upper division, graduate) unit value and grading from transcript and appropriate catalogs from other institutions
Determine equivalency of courses from other institutions to university requirements
Evaluate courses in satisfaction of specific nontraditional credit and university general education and statutory requirements; results of various examinations toward course credit such as Advancement Placement, CLEP and other system approved testing procedures
Review file to verify transcripts received
Verify accreditation of post-secondary institutions previously attended

Review course credit system, grading policies, and scholastic standing on transcript
Determine transferability of courses not taken at Unitek Learning utilizing the Student Information System, imaging software, and other articulation tools
Calculate transferable units attempted, units completed, and grade points
Research course content to determine applicable general education and major courses
Update student records per departmental memos and adviser requests for transfer course work
Other duties as assigned by Associate Dean-Online Programs/Program Director-Online Nursing

Qualifications

Associates degree in relevant field
Ability to maintain records
Ability to multi-tasks simultaneously
Must be capable of communicating effectively verbally and in writing
Has medical terminology knowledge or work experience in health care
Willing to learn & maintain information on Microsoft Office & Adobe Suite applications

Ability to maintain excellent customer relations and develop customer rapport
Ability to work in a fast-paced atmosphere
Familiarity with Learning Management Systems and Student Information Systems
Productive and efficient work habits with minimal supervision
Strong organization, leadership, development and implementation skills
Strong and effective communication skills, written and verbal
Strong computer skills, proficient in all Microsoft Office & Adobe Suite applications
