Marketing Director – Food Division

United Franchise Group is hiring a Marketing Director for the Food Division. The Food Division Marketing Director is someone who is innovative, forward-thinking, and strategically-minded. You will be responsible for developing, implementing, and monitoring the major marketing tactics for every food brand within the division. You must have a minimum of 5 years’ experience in a leadership role in marketing, and in the food industry. Multi-unit franchise experience is also a must.

    Job Description

    Your Key Responsibilities

    • Develop each brand’s creative “look”
      Develop each brand’s messaging—vision statements, differentiators, etc.
    • Develop franchise sales messages for websites, social media pages, etc.
    • Create franchise sales brochure
    • Develop each brands marketing strategy (consumer facing)
    • Develop Ad Fund deliverables for each new brand
    • Manage ongoing Ad Fund expenses monthly including payments to vendor partners, deliverables, communications, etc.
    • Create all printed marketing materials (flyers, brochures, menus, coupons, handouts of all kinds)
    • Create in-store marketing materials and messages (POS, posters, table tents, etc.)
    • Oversee content of website development for each new brand
    • Develop online & digital strategies for each new brand to ensure ongoing lead generation
    • Measure metrics of online results for continued optimization and to develop best practices for the brand
    • Develop ongoing communications to the franchisees for each new brand so they are aware of brand developments, ad fund results, etc.
    • Develop marketing set up practices for each new brand integrate marketing tactics into each location
    • Develop franchisee marketing training program for each brand
    • Develop implementation guides for marketing tactics for each new brand
    • Develop UFG Food Division Brand Identity Guides (with the Creative Director) for each brand
    • Develop PR messages, PR strategies and deliverables for each brand and each grand opening (especially new brands)
    • Meet with every Discovery Day Tour prospect of every brand to sell them on our marketing programs
    • Lead RVP & internal understanding of our marketing tactics
    • Negotiate contracts with agency vendor partners who provide services such as digital agencies and PR agencies
    • Manage those partners, ensure reporting and deliverables are on track
    • Perform as “face” of most UFG brands in video content and in speaking engagements at franchising conventions, world expos, etc.
    • Serve as resident ‘expert’ for new marketing employees who are looking for direction on how to develop marketing plans and tactics within their brands
    • Provide any marketing expertise as needed within any brand for any stakeholder.  This could involve speaking to bankers, landlords, chamber of commerce groups, and any or all interested parties to develop marketing messages as needed.

    Qualifications

     Requirements & Skills 

    • Bachelor’s degree (B.A. or B.S.) or equivalent from a four-year College or University; or five years’ related experience; or a combination of both
    • Previous experience as a Marketing Director within the food industry
    • Must have the ability to develop, implement, and monitor marketing calendars and campaigns
    • Should be a proactive self-starter with the ability to work independently and on a team
    • Comfortable in a fast-paced environment and able to manage multiple projects and campaigns
    • Outgoing personality and able to interact with a variety of consumers
    • Be a career-oriented individual searching for rapid growth
