Job Description

The Engagement Director, Influencer Marketing will play a leadership role across key accounts within the agency delivering valuable strategic insight and counsel to the agency team and our clients. They must be experienced in conceptualizing and leading integrated influencer marketing campaigns and able to strategize with their agency colleagues in earned media and experiential specialties to maximize campaigns’ effectiveness across all touch points. The candidate will be able to lead existing senior client relationships and bring innovative thinking and industry best practices to the table, while looking for business growth opportunities. 

They will support the day-to-day business and must have a demonstrable track record of generating great results for brands through influencer marketing and earned media activations. The Engagement Director will be expected to have a good understanding of industry technologies and social platforms as well as awareness of the cultural landscape.  This position will report directly to the President of ROX United and work closely with the executive leaders of CANVAS United, GALLEGOS United, and Oak Leaf Productions in a highly visible role.  

The candidate should also be comfortable managing in a small matrixed environment of internal cross-functional peers as well as with external client partners. A successful candidate will have a track record of success in immersion into a client’s business, identifying opportunities for growth, measuring KPIs and articulating the correlation to direct business results.

Qualifications

This person must have at least 8-10 years’ experience in influencer marketing, with at least 3 years’ experience leading key lines of client business, managing junior team members, and overseeing client budgets.

The Key Responsibilities and Competencies:

·       Cultivate strong counselor relationships with clients

·       Develop and lead execution of influencer engagement programs for existing and new clients, to achieve client goals / objectives

·       Oversee execution of campaign tactics, including influencer briefs and content reviews, with a keen awareness of ensuring KPIs are met while nurturing junior talents’ growth and development (player/coach hybrid)

·       Evaluate and recommend how to improve upon existing capabilities and, specifically, identify potential solutions/alternative options when needed – thinking in the mindset of a small business “owner”

·       When relevant, play a key role in the development of new business proposals / presentations

·       Demonstrate curious and entrepreneurial behavior, looking out for opportunities to build upon the agency’s core capabilities for organic growth

·       Excel at planning and presenting ideas that map to pillar focuses of ROX (i.e., earned media, experiential activations, and influencer-generated social content across paid / owned / earned channels)

·       Constantly display a deep knowledge of clients’ business needs and relevant industry trends (while looking at those trends through a strategic brand-building lens)

·       When relevant, play a key role in the development of new business proposals / presentations

·       Bring existing relationships and passion to foster new ones with relevant influencers, personalities, and agency representatives

·       Have existing familiarity with using third-party influencer marketplace management platforms, as well as tools such as Cision, MuckRack, etc.

·       Experienced in managing financial responsibilities for influencer campaigns keeping within budget: including budget development, negotiations, management of SOWs, vendor contracts, and project recaps

·       Bachelor’s degree (preferably in Communications, Journalism, Public Relations)

Salary: $130K -- $140K / yr., dependent on experience
