Job Description
The Media Supervisor role is focused on working with an extended team on the GU and XM sides to help service existing clients in the creation, execution and monitoring of media plans, including negotiating with external vendors to secure the best investment options in a variety of mediums to maximize clients’ reach to targeted consumers.
What We Want You To Do
Manage all facets of media campaign execution by working closely with GU and XM account management and media teams
Manage, review, and analyze all client facing media deliverables
Stay up-to-date with emerging trends and identify areas of development
Develop and present media plan proposals with media and cost schedules to clients, including regional and locally focused plans with Hispanic media partners as a key element of the plans
Oversee campaign planning, optimization strategies, and campaign performance success for multiple clients
Oversee the development of RFPs, the final buy recommendation, buy summaries, and campaign measurements
Work with GU and XM teams to develop and present concise results decks highlighting the relevant learning gained and recommendations for future campaigns
Promote positive working relationships within the extended GU/XM team, and positively represent the agency to the vendor community
Provide strategic guidance to the media planning and buying team, while not hesitating to get your “hands dirty” in the planning/buying as needed
Provide consultative strategic direction to your accounts and identifying appropriate programs and services to meet client needs
Qualifications
What We Want You To Have For Success
You have a BA/BS degree, with 3-4 years in media management
You have strong quantitative and analytical skills – you can detect and translate a story behind numbers/data
You have excellent verbal and written communication skills; demonstrated ability to translate and present complicated ideas in a simple, and easy to understand yet inspirational /creative style in collaboration with a team
You have exceptional critical thinking and problem solving abilities – ability to think unconventionally in proposing potential solutions or opportunities to issues
You demonstrate strong detail orientation and organizational skills
You display effective negotiation and influence skills – steeped in required industry, brand, and competitive knowledge
You have experience working directly with various US Hispanic media partners across multiple mediums
You have an affinity for, and experience in multicultural marketing. Spanish fluency is not required, but is a plus
You have proven ability to multi-task and manage multiple projects effectively and work well under pressure to deliver high quality work within tight deadlines
You are able to evaluate client needs, express an understanding of target media behavior, develop media plans to connect the dots between client needs and target behavior with strategy and creative teams, and get your hands dirty working with a team to execute
You display a strong team orientation
You demonstrate a strong learning orientation and lean into new opportunities and are willing to challenge status quo
You display an intrinsic passion for new technology/digital gadgets; and utilization of social media tools to engage and inspire new solutions for clients
You have proven experience effectively coaching and developing others
You’re familiar/proficient with various media tools, such as MRI, Simmons, MBOX, Nielsen, DDS, Media Tools, Kantar, comScore, Clear Decisions, TARDIIS, DFA, IMS, Scarborough, etc.
