Business Development Manager (Part Time)

  • Full-time

Company Description

A real BDM role, designed around the rest of your life

At Unique IQ, we're not just building software. We're rewriting what's possible for the UK home care sector. With AI at the heart of everything we do, our platform helps care providers up and down the country deliver smarter, safer and more compassionate care to the people who need it most.

We're growing, and as part of that growth we're investing in a part-time Business Development Manager role designed around genuine flexibility. If you've had a successful commercial career, taken a break for whatever reason, and want back into a serious sales role on terms that fit the rest of your life, we'd love to hear from you.

Job Description

The opportunity

This isn't a watered-down version of a sales role. It's a real BDM role, with real responsibility for revenue, real prospects, real deals, and real commission attached. The only thing that's different is the shape of the working week.

You'll be running discovery calls and product demonstrations with home care providers across the UK and Ireland, owning your pipeline, working warm leads through to close, and bringing our AI-first product story to life. You'll do this in hours that work for you, with a team that genuinely respects boundaries and trusts you to manage your own time.

If you're someone who knows how to sell, has done it well before, and is now looking for a role that respects the rest of your life as much as your career, this is it.

What you'll be doing

  • Running confident, consultative discovery calls and product demonstrations with home care decision-makers
  • Owning a healthy pipeline of new business opportunities across the UK and Ireland home care market
  • Working warm leads generated by marketing through to close, with full ownership of the deal
  • Building strong relationships with care agency owners, operators and senior leadership teams
  • Managing your pipeline rigorously in HubSpot, with clear forecasting and clean stage management
  • Working hand in hand with marketing, customer success and product to convert leads, win deals and feed back what the market is telling us
  • Representing Unique IQ at trade shows, industry events and customer meetings where it fits around your hours

Qualifications

Who we're looking for

  • A proven B2B sales professional, ideally with SaaS, software or technology sales experience
  • A track record of running discovery calls, demos and proposals confidently and consistently winning business
  • Commercially sharp, with strong instincts for qualification, deal momentum and forecasting accuracy
  • Comfortable with longer sales cycles and complex, multi-stakeholder buying decisions
  • Genuinely curious about AI and what it can do for the care sector
  • Self-motivated, organised and accountable, with the self-discipline that comes with managing your own hours

Additional Information

What you'll get

  • Competitive pro-rata salary plus performance-related commission, sized so part-time hours still pay properly when you close deals
  • Genuinely flexible hours, designed around your life rather than ours, with a minimum of 20 hours per week worked in a pattern that suits you
  • Hybrid or fully remote working, whichever you prefer
  • 25 days' holiday plus bank holidays (pro rata)
  • Your birthday off, every year
  • Company pension scheme
  • All the kit you need to do the job well
  • Genuine career progression in a growing business, including a clear route into a full-time role if and when that suits you
