About the team

You will be working as part of a close-knit, friendly and agile team of 12 within Engineering. We work closely with our product team on setting priorities and deliverables.

We are currently building a completely new web application that will integrate two of our core products and deliver an entirely new experience to our customers through a SaaS based approach. Architecting a new application around API’s and backend integrations will be a challenging assignment for this team.

Job Description

The team works in an agile environment and are using Scrum. This means that you will be part of a daily stand-up with the rest of the team, work in sprints of 1-2 weeks and will later be involved in helping the team estimate effort for work items.

You will be involved in all stages of the development life cycle, including business analysis, architectural design and maintenance of code. Your tasks will also include code review and testing of bug fixes and new features.

Qualifications

What will you do:

Work with the development team to build web applications that scale using Laravel, with consistent and documented code, utilising your time to coach and mentor junior developers while hitting delivery deadlines. 

Participate in design, estimation and scrum sessions to help us build a product that is commercially viable and inspires our customers. 

Research new tools, methods and technologies that will add value to our technology stack, we hold regular information sessions to look at new ways of working.

Qualifications

You will be looking for an opportunity that enables you to make an impact on our delivery, able to work in an agile fashion using tools such as Github.

Understand the requirement for testable code, take pride in aiming to achieve a high degree of velocity and scalability with minimum downtime of production code. 

Bring a logical approach to design, making use of design patterns and able to influence product management, engineering and sales in how we solve problems. 

Be looking for a technically challenging role that will enable you to work on both Greenfield and legacy technologies, building an API driven application that has a significant impact on our customers.

While the team are currently 100% remote, we would envisage that the role will become office-based, therefore it is essential that you will be able to commute to our offices.
