Position overview

As a Business Development Manager, you will play a pivotal role in identifying, developing, and nurturing key business opportunities that align with our mission to provide exceptional software and services to the social care sector. You will be responsible for driving revenue growth, building strong client relationships, and staying abreast of industry trends and regulations to ensure our services remain at the forefront of the sector.

Key Responsibilities

Market Analysis and Strategy: Conduct in-depth market research and analysis to identify growth opportunities, emerging trends, and competitive threats within the care sector. Develop and implement comprehensive business development strategies to achieve revenue targets.

Client Acquisition: Identify and target potential clients, to expand our client base. Develop a solution first sales proposition to assist customers with their pain points and demonstrate value.

Proposal Development: Prepare compelling proposals and presentations tailored to the unique needs of prospective clients. Collaborate with the operations team to ensure that proposed solutions align with our service capabilities.

Contract Negotiation: Negotiate terms, pricing, and contracts with clients to secure new business. Ensure that all agreements adhere to legal and regulatory requirements.

Networking: Represent the company at industry events, conferences, and trade shows. Develop and maintain a strong professional network within the care sector.

Team Collaboration: Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including operations, marketing, and finance, to drive successful implementation of business development strategies.

Performance Tracking: Monitor and report to the Sales Director on set key performance indicators (KPIs) related to business development activities. Continuously analyse and improve strategies based on performance data.

Compliance and Regulation: Stay informed about relevant laws, regulations, and industry standards in the care sector. Ensure that the company's services and practices follow all applicable requirements.

Qualifications

 

  • Proven experience in new business development, sales, or marketing within a SaaS business model (Advantageous)
  • Strong understanding of the social care sector, including knowledge of healthcare systems and regulations (Advantageous)
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills (Essential)
  • Strong negotiation and contract management abilities (Essential)
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team (Essential)
  • Results-driven mindset with a focus on achieving and exceeding targets (Essential)
  • Exceptional organizational and time management skills (Essential)
