Company Description

The Union County Sheriff’s Office is accepting applications for Patrol Deputy. Experience is preferred but not required. Accepting applications from surrounding counties of Union as well.

Applications may be picked up at the Union County Sheriff’s Office, Monday through Friday between the hours of 8 am to 4 pm.

 

Job Description

Duties include but are not limited to the following:

  • Respond to calls requiring a deputy
  • Investigate all complaints assigned and take police action as required
  • Complete all reports prior to end of work shift
  • Respond to in progress, recent or prior criminal activity; restore/maintain order, gather information and evidence
  • Patrol assigned areas, pursuit, apprehension and arrest according to state and local applicable statutes, policies, regulations and procedures.

Qualifications

Interested applicants must be a minimum of 21 years of age

Possess a valid driver’s license

Possess a high school diploma or equivalent GED

Pass a background check

Must have the ability to handle emergency situations in a calm and professional manner while multi-tasking

Microsoft Office (Word, Excel & Outlook) knowledge preferred

Must be willing to work holidays and rotating shifts; which would include days, evenings, and nights.

Additional Information

Applications may be picked up at the Union County Sheriff’s Office, Monday through Friday between the hours of 8 am to 4 pm.  If an offer is made and accepted, the candiate will have 180 days to relocate to Union County.
