Job Description

This role is responsible for operationally supporting two members of the President’s Team: the Senior Director and Director of School Support. The School Support leaders manage our Principal Fellow and Dean of Students programs. This role will facilitate communication across the organization, create helpful documents, keep calendars up-to-date and effectively plan and follow through on large-scale projects. They will also be responsible for support in-person PDs as well as zoom meetings by leading event planning, ordering several items to multiple locations and day-of setup and tech help.

Communication & Meeting Support

  • Ensuring time is maximized through prioritization of appointments, and arranging in-person and virtual meetings
  • Lead communications with key stakeholders by writing and editing email correspondence and other written materials
  • Leading preparation of meeting agendas, materials, and logistics for key meetings – e.g. check-ins, professional development sessions, and regional principal meetings – involving the President, principals, and senior leaders across Uncommon.

Program Support 

  • Conduct analysis of student achievement data and staff survey results
  • Ability to engage with many different stakeholders and synthesize information to be a collaborative thought partner for the vision and structure of the Principal Fellowship program & Dean of Students program
  • Tracking, prioritizing, ensuring accountability of tasks and project milestones to ensure progress to deadlines.

Event Support

  • Attend various in-person events like Inspections, Professional Development sessions and coordinate logistics to ensure that there are no gaps.

Administrative Tasks 

  • Perform general administrative duties including photocopying, mailing, meeting support, and tracking and preparing expense reimbursements, as needed.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree required
  • 1-2 years of directly related experience
  • Mission alignment

  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite
  • Strong problem-solving skills
  • Strong organization skills and attention to detail

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with developing polished presentations in PowerPoint/Google Slides and manipulating data in Excel
  • Experience in K12 education
