Please note, this role will be remote until at least June 2021. For this role, our preference is to find a candidate who will work in our El Segundo office but we are open to fully-remote candidates

Job Description

As our contract UX Designer/UI Artist you will partner with other designers and the UI/UX lead on the team to complete our soon-to-be best-in-class experience with an exciting IP.

Your work at Unbroken could include some or all of the following:

  • Follow design documentation and connect with game designers in order to create UX flows and diagrams/wireframes
  • Follow UX documentation and established visuals to create additional visuals for menu screens as well as gameplay UI assets
  • Help to create visual icons and graphic art to be featured throughout the UI
  • Implement UI elements in Unreal UMG (Ue4)
  • Fix UI bugs in engine as they occur
  • Engage peers such as UI Designers, Artists, Producers, Game Designers, and Engineers and collaborate to accomplish the work above


  • 3+ years professional as an Interaction Designer, User Interface Designer, or similar role
  • Self-motivated with a strong work ethic
  • Excellent communication and team skills
  • Ability to manage constructive feedback and iterate on design
  • Passion for Game UI/UX
  • Experience working with Engineers and Designers to implement UI screens, widgets, and/or art content
  • Solid understanding of Adobe Creative Suite (especially Photoshop and Illustrator)
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in graphic, interaction, UX or product design

Bonus qualifications:

  • Game industry experience
  • Experience with UMG and Unreal Engine 4
  • A love of video games and/or user rewarding products
  • Experience with motion design in Adobe After Effects
  • Experience with prototyping and wireframing in Figma, XD, or other
