As part of Doka's European engineering strategy, we are establishing the Engineering Service Center Area EU Romania, a new engineering hub that will provide design and technical support services to Doka organizations across Europe.

This exciting initiative brings together talented engineers who will design innovative formwork and shoring solutions for some of Europe's most complex construction projects.

We are currently looking for Junior, Mid-Level and Senior Project Designers to join our growing international engineering team.

Whether you are at the start of your engineering career or an experienced designer looking for a broader international scope, this is an opportunity to contribute to projects across Europe while developing your expertise within one of the world's leading construction technology companies.

As a Project Designer, you will work closely with engineering, sales and operations teams from various European Doka organizations to develop safe, efficient and economically optimized formwork solutions.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Designing formwork and shoring solutions for international construction projects.
• Developing technical drawings and 3D models preferably in Revit or other engineering tools.
• Analyzing project documentation and technical requirements.
• Preparing material lists and technical project documentation.
• Performing engineering calculations and ensuring compliance with applicable standards and safety requirements.
• Optimizing designs in terms of costs, material quantities and equipment utilization.
• Supporting local Doka subsidiaries with technical expertise and engineering solutions.
• Participating in customer and internal project meetings.
• Maintaining accurate and complete project documentation.
• Collaborating with international engineering teams and sharing best practices.
• Contributing to continuous improvement initiatives and the development of engineering standards within Doka.

Additional Responsibilities for Senior Project Designers

• Acting as a technical expert for complex engineering projects.
• Reviewing engineering deliverables according to the "4-Eyes Principle".
• Mentoring and developing junior engineers.
• Supporting onboarding and technical training activities.
• Driving quality and process improvement initiatives.
• Contributing to engineering standardization and knowledge transfer across Europe.

Senior Project Designer

• Degree in Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering or similar.
• 5+ years of engineering/design experience.
• Advanced knowledge of formwork, temporary works or construction engineering.
• Strong knowledge of Revit or/and AutoCAD.
• Experience reviewing designs and guiding junior engineers.
• Excellent problem-solving and stakeholder management skills.
• Advanced English communication skills.

Technical Skills

Preferred knowledge of:

• Revit
• Microsoft Office Suite
• Construction mechanics, statics and structural engineering principles
• Reading and interpreting structural and reinforcement drawings
• BIM environments and digital engineering tools

Knowledge of Doka Formwork Systems is considered a strong advantage but is not mandatory.
