Job Description
Join our Global Expertise Center Infrastructure (GEC‑INF) and contribute to strengthening Doka’s global position in tunnel formwork solutions.
As a Product Expert for Tunnel Formworks, you will play a central role in developing and improving tunnel‑specific formwork systems and supporting their successful use in projects worldwide.
In this role, you will combine deep product knowledge with practical tunnel engineering experience, working closely with engineering teams, product managers, and product developers.
Together, you will help shape safe, efficient, and competitive tunnel solutions from the early project phases onward.
Purpose of the Function
- Strengthen Doka’s future position in tunnel formwork by supporting global engineering and project activities within GEC‑INF.
- Develop long‑term technical and system expertise in tunnel formwork through structured learning and practical project work.
Responsibilities
- Specialize in GEC‑specific tunnel formwork tasks with the support of a structured onboarding program and an individual development plan.
- Execute delegated tasks carefully, accurately, and within agreed timelines, applying a learning‑by‑doing mindset.
- Contribute to technical refinements, competitive analyses, and innovation initiatives related to tunnel formwork systems.
- Serve as a link between Strategy & Innovation and Engineering to align product development with market and project needs.
- Support regional engineering teams with system selection, application limits, and technical design requirements.
- Foster close collaboration across engineering, product management, and development teams.
Tasks
Strategic & Product Related (75% of the time)
- Drive roadmap topics related to tunnel formwork systems.
- Identify market trends and collect technical inputs, lessons learned, and feedback from projects to support continuous product and system development.
- Share and transfer practical tunnel‑specific know‑how to support safe and efficient system usage worldwide.
- Deliver training and actively support global knowledge transfer.
Project Related (25% of the time)
- Support on tailor made solution and prototype job sites
- Creating new concepts and optimizing solutions for customer projects
- Enhancing processes in design phase based on close interaction with Engineering team
Qualifications
- Education level apprentice, HTL, FH, or University
- Solid understanding or strong interest in tunnel construction methods, construction site processes, and formwork systems.
- Good 3D CAD skills (e.g. Revit, AutoCAD, Inventor, or comparable tools).
- Structured working style and high willingness to learn complex technical systems.
- Good communication skills in English (additional languages are an advantage).
- Team‑oriented, motivated, and comfortable working in an international engineering environment.
- Willingness to travel internationally at a later stage of development.

A salary in line with the market is offered for this position, which is based on the specific qualification and adequate professional experience.
We are required by law to state a minimum salary. The minimum annual gross salary for this position is 48.800,- EUR according to the collective agreement group IV (woodworking industry).
