Job Description

Strategy, Governance & Portfolio Steering

  • Define and continuously develop the group-wide CREM strategy, governance framework, and standards

  • Manage and optimize the global real estate portfolio with a strong focus on capital efficiency, de-investments, and operational necessity

  • Establish uniform approval, decision, and steering processes across divisions and regions

Transactions & Site Development

  • Identify, assess, and execute real estate transactions (acquisitions, disposals, leases, subleases)

  • Lead site and market analyses, business cases, and negotiations in close alignment with divisions and regions

Projects & Development Oversight

  • Provide central oversight for major construction and development projects

  • Ensure delivery in terms of quality, cost, schedule, and ESG compliance across the full lifecycle

Standards, ESG & Compliance

  • Establish global standards for space, construction, workplaces, and facility management

  • Integrate ESG targets, occupational safety, and security requirements into transactions and projects

Digitalization & Transparency

  • Own CREM reporting and data transparency

  • Develop Power BI as the interim solution and co-shape MS Fabric as the target architecture with IT

  • Ensure data quality, system interfaces, and a reliable KPI cockpit

Organization & Stakeholder Management

  • Build and lead a high-performing, scalable CREM organization

  • Act as a key interface to Executive Boards, regions, central functions, and external partners

Qualifications

  • Degree in real estate economics, civil engineering, industrial engineering, or a comparable field

  • 10+ years of experience in corporate real estate, transactions, or project development, ideally in an international environment

  • Strong experience in governance, stakeholder management, and negotiations at senior level

  • Proven track record in building and leading teams

  • Experience in transformation and digitalization initiatives (e.g. reporting, BI, data platforms)

  • Fluent in German and English

  • Willingness to travel internationally

A salary in line with the market is offered for this position, which is based on the specific qualification and adequate professional experience.

We are required by law to state a minimum salary. The minimum annual gross salary for this position is € 52,345 according to the collective agreement (woodworking industry).
