Job Description

Doka EAP is currently looking for a Senior/BIM Drafter EAP who will be responsible for supporting the planning and execution of structural works by leveraging technical drawing and BIM tools for projects across the Doka Asia Pacific (APAC) region.

Reporting to the BIM Coordinator EAP, this position requires a detail-oriented individual with strong expertise in BIM drafting. The position is based in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.

You will be responsible for:

  • Interpreting and analyzing architectural and structural drawings to ensure accurate planning and execution
  • Developing and maintaining detailed structural BIM models in alignment with project requirements
  • Preparing comprehensive working drawings to support on-site construction activities
  • Providing consistent and timely updates on project progress to key stakeholders, ensuring alignment and transparency throughout the project lifecycle
  • Efficiently managing multiple projects, staying organized while collaborating with diverse stakeholders

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Civil or Construction Engineering, or equivalent education
  • Minimum of three years of experience and expertise in BIM model drafting
  • Proficient in using BIM software (e.g., Revit, Tekla, NavisWorks, Solibri, etc.)
  • Experience in visual scripting and parametric modeling (e.g., Dynamo, Grasshopper, etc.) is a plus
  • Knowledge of formwork technologies is an added advantage
  • Strong analytical skills and technical proficiency
  • Excellent command of the English language
  • Good communication skills with the ability to convey ideas clearly and concisely to multiple stakeholders (e.g., clients, internal teams, etc.)
  • Self-motivated and proactive, with a keen ability to offer suggestions and solutions to colleagues
  • Collaborative team player with the ability to work independently when necessary
  • Willingness to travel and remain flexible as required
