Job Description

As a Formwork Site Supervisor, you will play a crucial role in overseeing the formwork operations on construction sites. You will be responsible for ensuring that formwork is installed accurately and efficiently, adhering to safety regulations and project specifications. Additionally, you will be accountable for managing a team of formwork workers, ensuring productivity, quality, and compliance with project timelines.

Your responsibilities

1. Formwork Installation and Inspection:

  • Supervise and participate in the installation and removal of formwork systems.
  • Conduct regular inspections to ensure formwork is installed accurately and complies with project specifications.

2. Team Management:

  • Lead, mentor, and coordinate a team of formwork workers.
  • Allocate tasks and provide guidance to ensure productivity and quality standards are met.

3. Safety and Compliance:

  • Enforce strict adherence to safety protocols and regulations on the construction site.
  • Ensure all formwork activities comply with relevant industry standards and project requirements.

4. Material Management:

  • Oversee the inventory of formwork materials, ensuring an adequate supply for ongoing operations.
  • Coordinate with procurement to order materials as needed.

5. Quality Control:

  • Implement quality control measures to ensure formwork meets project specifications and industry standards.
  • Conduct regular checks and inspections to identify and address any issues.

6. Communication and Reporting:

  • Maintain clear and open communication with project managers, engineers, and other stakeholders regarding formwork progress and issues.
  • Provide regular reports on project status, highlighting any challenges or deviations from the plan.

7. Problem Solving:

  • Identify and resolve any technical or operational issues related to formwork installation.
  • Collaborate with project management to develop solutions for unexpected challenges.

8. Documentation:

  • Maintain accurate records of formwork installations, inspections, and related activities.
  • Ensure all necessary documentation is completed and filed in a timely manner.
