Job Description

The Business Development Manager (BDM) – Broadbase / Civil (VIC), will be required to extend Doka’s client base to further grow the branch market share in the relevant state. Focusing on Broadbase and civil opportunities. The role is part of the Country sales team, which work closely with the relevant stakeholders and management within Doka Australia.

Key Responsibilities.

  • Build and maintain strong and profitable relationships with clients and key decision makers
  • Prepare and present proposals to clients to meet their requirements and offer solutions
  • Extend the client portfolio to grow the market share in their relevant state or territory within the Broadbase and civil space.
  • Maintain a high level of knowledge of all Doka products, key customers and relevant stakeholders
  • Achieve sales targets as defined by Sales Management using outstanding presentation and negotiation skills to successfully close deals
  • Prepare expressions of interests, tender submissions, and other marketing related material.
  • Manage projects in a co-operative style with key stakeholders within the business and also external stakeholders relevant to the project
  • Manage the hand over process for successful tenders 
  • Be the first point of contact for the clients during all stages of the project and support any project-related work including processing, discounting, rental rates and claims
  • Promote and cross sell our range of products and services to new and existing customers
  • Update and maintain customer records and enquiry status in our in-house systems (CRM Management and forecasting)
  • Share expertise, guidance and support to other team members such as operations, engineering and other stakeholders to ensure that collaboration and knowledge sharing is evident amongst the team.

Qualifications

  • Formal training business or equivalent is desirable
  • Have minimum of 4 years’ experience in a BDM role in a similar construction sector 
  • Proven and solid practical sales and professional customer management experience in the industry, ideally in system formwork.
  • Experience within the broadbase and civil space will be highly regarded
  • Working knowledge and experience of the formwork and construction industry including technical understanding
  • Have a proven / tangible track of securing new tender opportunities on projects in the non – residential construction sector.
  • Proven experience in a range of effective sales techniques
  • Current Driver’s License
