Job Description

Currently based in Minto, but reporting to your manager based in Dubai, as the Procurement Officer (Support Unit) you will be responsible for all purchasing activities including all strategic & tactical procurement tasks and administrative duties in Australia for both entities Doka Australia as well as Lubeca. There will be certain tasks that may also be required for Middle East African and Asia Pacific Countries.

Your key responsibilities are:

  • Compliance of the regional process including coordination with stakeholders to comply with procurement policies and processes.
  • Assessment of demand and scheduling
  • Handling daily purchasing including follow up orders and ensure delivery (including rescheduling)
  • Handling and resolving claims / complaints
  • Work with other members of the strategic procurement team to develop and implement initiatives to reduce transaction costs, consolidate volume and create efficiency
  • Assisting with the preparation of new vendor registration and ensuring all new vendor documentation are successfully uploaded into the system.
  • Supporting the internal customers to ensure that targets and metrics are achieved
  • Synergy savings across both entities in Australia
  • Assess & identify supply risks and define & implement measures to mitigate those risks
  • Implementation of Area best practices within the Australian entities and export the local best practices into Area and Global teams

Qualifications

  • A technical, commercial or purchasing qualification or equivalent (or appropriate experience)
  • Experience in customer service/procurement with the ability to resolve complex situations and order fulfillment issues
  • Solid understanding of the purchase to pay process
  • Proficient in MS Excel, Word, Outlook, and Knowledge in SAP/R3-Ariba system is highly desirable.
