Job Description

As a structural engineer, you support with your expertise in the implementation of construction projects for the US. You provide expert knowledge in all structural matters and accompany projects from idea generation, solution search, analysis, consulting and documentation to successful completion. 

Your tasks in detail:

  • Evaluates technical solutions utilizing standard formwork systems and custom solutions.
  • Creates design calculations using the fundamentals of engineering and principals of design.
  • Uses numerical methods to analyze structural models.
  • Able to mentally visualize the path of applied loads and to validate safe engineered solutions for special application & provide a comprehensive static design package.
  • Works with project teams on CAD drawings, BIM Models during the proposal stage and finalizes working drawings for Doka forming systems.
  • Ensures that the drawings indicate the proper use of Doka forming equipment and that the drawings represent safe, economical and efficient designs.
  • Supports by determining appropriate formwork solutions that meet the customer’s needs which are economical and comply with safety and regulatory guidelines.
  • Ensures that the policies, procedures, programs, standards of performance and compliance are adhered to.
  • Monitors conformance with contractual guidelines. 

Qualifications

  • Completed technical education (HTL, FH, TU) with focus on structural engineering, civil engineering or mechanical engineering
  • Experience in working on formwork projects is preferred
  • Basic knowledge of structural analysis software (RSTAB, or similar)
  • Flexible, communicative, team-oriented personality 
  • High willingness to learn and analytical thinking skills
  • Good understanding of standards and ability to quickly familiarise yourself with new standards
  • Independent and goal-oriented way of working
  • Good English and German language skills

We are required by law to state a minimum salary. The minimum yearly gross salary for this position is € 34,672 according to the collective agreement (woodworking industry). However, a gross monthly salary in line with the market is offered for this position, which is based on the specific qualification and adequate professional experience.
