Job Description

An exciting opportunity has become available for an Accountant who will be in charge to provide timely, accurate, relevant & value-adding accounting, and financial information to the stakeholders. This role will also ensure that financial processes and controls are in place for business units and that correct business practices are followed.
Your key responsibilities will be to:
- Maintain book of accounts and support month-end closing including inter-company and bank reconciliation
- Prepare various schedules and support on cash flow forecast
- Prepare and file the BIR tax returns but not limited to withholding tax and VAT
- Process and verify invoices, purchase orders, and expense reports for accuracy and completeness and prepare and process payment batches, including checks, electronic transfers, and wire transfers
- Assist in the periodic both internal and external audit and respond in a timely manner to any audit queries
- Provide accounting support to non-finance departments (e.g. HR, Sales, Engineering, Operations)
- Identify opportunities for continuous process improvement and innovate solutions so that the team can operate in an efficient and cost effective manner
Qualifications
Required (Education and Technical)
- More than three (3) years experience in an accounting role
- Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting
- Experience and proficiency in full set of accounting including Account Payable, Account Receivable, General Ledger, Banking, Account Reconciliation and Analysis
- Experience in handling accounting related queries and providing accounting support to stakeholders (of the role)
- Knowledgeable in tax ruling
- Knowledgeable and updated on Philippines Financial Accounting Standards
- Previous experience in ERP Systems, such as SAP if applicable
- Excellent MS Office skills in Word and Excel

Preferred (Skills and Background)
- Experience working in a multinational companies such as construction, trading or industrial companies
- Experience in inventory management as part of accounting
- Previous experience in SAP ERP ( but not required)
